Talents of Curaçá: Local craftsmanship gains national showcase at the Nordestesse Festival

The 7th edition of the Nordestesse Festival, held at Casa Quadra in Lago Sul (DF), became a showcase of excellence by highlighting the brilliance and technical quality of the craftsmanship from Curaçá (BA). The pieces on display, which enchanted the public with their authenticity, are the direct fruit of a training project carried out by the Instituto Parceiros da Caatinga and sponsored by BlueSky through PABA Ararinha Azul. Integrated into an immersive experience of “nordestinidade” (Northeastern identity) that combined regional gastronomy, fashion, and art, the creations from Curaçá reaffirmed the strength of signature design, positioning themselves as versatile items that transition between local tradition and the desires of the contemporary luxury market.

The project focused on the technical improvement of female artisans from our region, allowing them to now produce exclusive collections for AMares. AMares is a social impact brand that transforms the rich craftsmanship of the Caatinga into signature fashion and high-end accessories, ensuring that traditional knowledge reaches major commercial centers with added value and sustainability. This partnership unites the tradition of manual labor with contemporary design, elevating local craftsmanship to the level of signature and sustainable fashion.

For BlueSky, supporting this initiative through the Instituto Parceiros da Caatinga is a fundamental part of the commitment to the development of our community and the preservation of the Caatinga. Seeing these pieces in one of the country’s largest fashion showcases reinforces the economic and creative potential of Curaçá.
